Why this one
The Alessi 9090 is an 18/10 stainless steel stovetop espresso coffee maker that features a lever-lock closure and induction-ready base.
Richard Sapper Design
The Alessi 9090 is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Its polished 18/10 stainless steel body delivers structural rigidity and resists pitting compared to traditional cast aluminum.
One-Handed Closure
Unlike threaded pots that can bind or leak over time, this model features a patented lever-lock mechanism that seals the chamber securely with a simple flip. A magnetic base ensures full compatibility with induction cooktops as well as gas and electric ranges.
Thermal Performance
The flared base design maximizes heat absorption from larger burners while preventing flame flare-ups on the handle. It yields a rich, concentrated extraction that provides a notable upgrade in stovetop coffee.
