Why this one
The Canon EOS R100 pairs a large 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor and Dual Pixel autofocus with a stabilized zoom lens at an accessible entry price.
24.1MP APS-C imaging sensor
A large 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC 8 image processor captures clean dynamic range and natural background blur. The sensor surface area is multiple times larger than high-end smartphone sensors, maintaining low noise levels up to ISO 12,800.
Dual Pixel autofocus with Eye Detection
The Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus system utilizes up to 143 automatically selected AF zones across the frame to lock onto subjects. Continuous Eye Detection AF tracks human eyes across both stationary portraits and active candid shots without manual intervention.
Lightweight body with stabilized kit lens
Weighing roughly 12.6 ounces with battery and memory card inserted, the camera body pairs seamlessly with the included RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens. The retractable lens design incorporates built-in optical image stabilization to counteract handshake during handheld shooting.
