Why this one
The North Face Wawona is the definitive premium camping tent, offering a rare combination of standing-height interior space and rugged, multi-season weather protection.
Exceptional head height and space
Designed with a massive vestibule that functions as an extension of the living space, allowing campers to stand comfortably throughout the tent. The 6-person layout features a peak height of 76 inches, providing one of the most generous interior volumes in its class.
Superior weather protection
Constructed with a high-strength, double-walled design that offers significantly better weather resistance and condensation management than typical single-wall camping tents. The durable polyester canopy and waterproof fly ensure stability even in gusty conditions.
Premium enthusiast-grade reliability
Consistently recognized for its robust build quality and intuitive color-coded pole system that simplifies setup for large groups. It is widely considered the gold standard for car camping where comfort and longevity are the primary priorities.
Not for you if…
At 20 lbs, it is a heavy, bulky tent designed specifically for car camping and is not suitable for backpacking or any situation requiring travel on foot.
