Why this one
The Makita 9403 is a corded electric 4" x 24" belt sander that removes heavy stock.
High-powered stock removal
The 11-amp motor drives the abrasive belt at 1,640 feet per minute for rapid material leveling on large surface areas. A labyrinth construction design seals and protects the motor and bearings from dust and debris for longer tool life.
Flush-edge design capability
The extended base allows sanding flush to vertical walls with the nose and side of the sander. An innovative design combines power and speed with ease-of-use features and less noise for fast stock removal.
Balanced ergonomic handling
Operating at a low noise level of 84dB, it delivers operator comfort during prolonged woodworking tasks. The large front grip is positioned for comfort and better control during extended smoothing sessions.
